Our Integrated Whanau Services Centre, based at our Parry Street Complex in Huntly, offers a wide range of services for Whanau or individual of all ages and back grounds. Nau mai Haere mai, Welcome.

We have qualified and trained staff available to provide assistance in the following services:

Whanau Wellbeing
Integrated & culturally appropriate Whanau support services that provide information & advice, advocacy and facilitation of external agencies.

Family Start
The Family Start Programme, was designed to enable whanau with young children to access a comprehensive range of support, health, education and other necessary services, according to their needs.

Whanau Ora
An approach that supports Whanau/Families to achieve their aspirations in life. To place Whanau/Families at the centre of decision making and supports them to build a more prosperous future.

Strengthening Families (Whakakaha Whanau)
Initiative to better co-ordinate different government departments to better service Whanau

BFC: Building Financial capability:
The delivery of one to one financial mentoring and Money Mates peer-led group support, for Whanau who are experiencing financial hardship, with the aim of enabling them to become more financially capable and empower them to make long-term change.

ISR: Integrated Safety Response of Domestic Violence Services:- to support Whanau/Families who have experience Domestic Violence. Early intervention services for perpetrators of family violence. A planned and co-ordinated Multi Agency response for referred Whanau/Families.

S.W.I.S. - Social Workers in Schools
Social workers to cater for the needs of our Tamariki and their families in primary schools in Huntly, Ngaruawahia and Kura Kaupapa Maori schools in Hamilton.

Whanau Development Programmes

HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters)
Offers a home based quality education programme for 4-5 year olds and their parents, operating since May 1994, with the aim to empower parents to become first educators of their children and encourages parents to spend quality time with their children.The Programme provides our children with the basic fundamentals required to get a head start in their Primary School education.


Incredible Years Programme
This programme provides ways to enhance relationships in families and involves parents attending fun interactive weekly group sessions, run over 1-2 terms, to discuss and practice new ways of managing children's challenging behaviour and get ideas for growing positive social skills in children.
